Generalized weak Galerkin methods for Stokes equations

چکیده
A finite element method, called generalized Weak Galerkin (gWG), is introduced for the Stokes equation by using a new weak gradient notion in usual approach. The gWG method allows polynomial elements of arbitrary order any combination velocity variable, but with proper constraints on pressure due to inf-sup condition. Error estimates are derived approximation mesh-dependent energy norm, as well L2 norm both and approximations. Some numerical examples presented verify accuracy, theoretical convergence order, robustness proposed scheme.

Robust Globally Divergence-free Weak Galerkin Methods for Stokes Equations
This paper proposes and analyzes a class of robust globally divergence-free weak Galerkin (WG) finite element methods for Stokes equations. The new methods use the Pk/Pk−1 (k ≥ 1) discontinuous finite element combination for velocity and pressure in the interior of elements, and piecewise Pl/Pk (l = k − 1, k) for the trace approximations of the velocity and pressure on the inter-element boundar...
متن کاملStochastic Galerkin methods for the steady-state Navier-Stokes equations
We study the steady-state Navier-Stokes equations in the context of stochastic finite element discretizations. Specifically, we assume that the viscosity is a random field given in the form of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion. For the resulting stochastic problem, we formulate the model and linearization schemes using Picard and Newton iterations in the framework of the stochastic Galer...

Tsallis has proposed a generalization of Boltzmann-Gibbs thermostatistics by introducing a family of generalized nonextensive entropy functionals with a single parameter q. These reduce to the extensive Boltzmann-Gibbs form for q = 1, but a remarkable number of statistical and thermodynamic properties have been shown to be q-invariant { that is, valid for any q. In this paper, we address the qu...
